Facial Features Analysis and Authentication of People in Photos
FACIAL FEATURES ANALYSIS AND AUTHENTICATION OF PEOPLE IN PHOTOS. This service includes the comparison and analysis of photographs or other images of a person in order to verify or authenticate their identity:
as a known family member or historical figure
after they have undergone surgery to alter their appearance
as a person who is believed to be dead
after they have been missing for a long time and have aged
I studied cranial and facial anatomy in order to distinguish faces that look similar. In addition to examining the proportions of the facial features to each other and to the head, and the features themselves, I also studied fashion and I analyze the clothing and background of the photo, and consider the type of photographic process used in order to better date the photo. Please note that I do not compare children's photos with those of adults. Children's facial features are not fully developed and can look very different once they become adults. Also, photos of men with facial hair may be difficult to analyze as beards, sideburns, and moustaches frequently obscure lip contours, chins, jaw lines, and even the ears.
Please read my terms page which covers my non-advocacy policy, my disclaimers, and the copyright laws under which I operate.
FEES & PAYMENT. The fees for analysis and authentication are as follows:
$25 to look at your photos and tell you in a brief E-mail that it is or is not the same person. Turnaround time is usually 24 hours or less — sometimes minutes. Send your images first, and when I have received them I will tell you. Then make your payment. Sales tax applies to services performed for individuals and entities located in Washington state.
$499 for an Analysis and Authentication Report that outlines all of the details of the face and other details of the image that led to the determination that it is the same person. Turnaround time is approximately two weeks. Payment is due in advance. Sales tax applies to services performed for individuals and entities located in Washington state.
Payment is by credit card payable to joellesteele@joellesteele.com at www.paypal.com. Commercial entities (e.g., libraries, museums, etc.) may make payment in advance by checks drawn on American banks in U.S. dollars only, payable to Joelle Steele or Joelle Steele Enterprises, at P.O. Box 8492, Lacey, WA 98509-8492, United States of America.
HOW TO SUBMIT PHOTOS. Please do NOT send me links to other Web sites to view your photo(s). There is only one method I accept for submission of photos to be compared and analyzed: E-mail attachments. Your photos should be scanned in color (even if the photo is black-and-white) at a minimum of 300 dpi (preferably 600 dpi), or photographed at whatever the biggest file size is that your digital camera can create. Do not send photos that have been altered or adjusted in any way (contrast, color, spots removed, etc.). Submit only very clear and detailed photos — as many as possible, and especially ones that give good views of the ears. I cannot work with very tiny or blurry/fuzzy photos or with composite photos. My E-mail address is: joellesteele@joellesteele.com.
