Photorestorics provides three services: the digital restoration of photos; facial features comparison and analysis to identify people in photos; and graphoanalysis for the purposes of authenticating handwriting and signatures on photographs. DIGITAL RESTORATION OF ANTIQUE, VINTAGE, AND DAMAGED PHOTOGRAPHS

Digital restoration and retouching can bring your photos back to life after years of mishandling, poor storage, and damage. Your new digital image will look as good as the day the original was taken, and you can have it printed out and share it with others. The following are some of the kinds of photos and types of repairs I make:

• black-and-white, color, hand-tinted, and sepia-toned (silver to sulfide conversion) photos
• studio portraits, snapshots, Polaroids, Daguerreotypes (silver plates), ambrotypes (glass negatives), tintypes (a.k.a. ferrotypes, melainotypes, or iron plates), and gemtypes (miniature tintypes)
• correction of fading and discoloration, conversion from color to black-and-white, and color tinting of black-and-white photos
• removal of spots (mold and mildew, a.k.a. "foxing") and blotches; tears, scratches, and scuffs; creases, cracks, dog-ears, and wrinkles; moisture and water streaking; and unwanted signatures or other writing
• reconstruction of missing parts of an image (when possible)

FACIAL FEATURES ANALYSIS for AUTHENTICATION OF IDENTITIES OF PEOPLE IN PHOTOS

If you have a photo that you think is of a particular person, such as a family member or a historical figure, I can compare your photo to a known photo of that person and analyze it to authenticate their identity. I look at the details of the facial features of the individual and also at their clothing, the background of the photo, and the type of photographic process used for purposes of dating. GRAPHOANALYSIS FOR AUTHENTICATION OF HANDWRITING ON PHOTOS

This handwriting service includes the comparison and analysis of handwriting and signatures found on photographs in order to verify their authenticity and rule out potential forgery. This is done by comparing an exemplar (known and authentic handwriting sample) with the handwriting allegedly written by the same person.
